Original Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church is one of the oldest, historic and pioneering churches in the Chicagoland area. Organized in 1928, Original Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church moved to its current location at 6614 So. Blackstone Ave. in 1951 and has been a cornerstone of the Woodlawn Community for many years.
We invite you to join us for any of our services. We are located on the Southside of Chicago, in the Woodlawn neighborhood, just one (1) block west of Stony Island Avenue.

Our weekly services are designed to help you experience God’s presence through dynamic, spirit-filled worship that will prepare your heart for the message you’ll receive. We come together and praise God with passion and open hearts, and we are committed to doing this Christian life together.
With over 30 years of experience in ministry, Dr. Errol A. Redwell Sr. has dedicated his life untiringly to Christ through selfless works including, but not limited to, preaching the gospel domestically and internationally; teaching and counseling youth; and providing leadership and spiritual guidance to God’s people toward salvation.
