after school outreach.

Welcome to After School Outreach (also referred to as ASO). ASO is a new after school experience, developed explicitly for school-aged children of color that are current Chicago residents. Our foci includes: Academia, Life, Communication, Engagement/Motivation and Entrepreneurship.

ASO is an enrichment hybrid that fuses the concept of an after-school program with an actionable plan to fortify the psychological perspective of all children throughout the Woodlawn Community. We will reach beyond the surface of toothless programming and address the vicarious negligence many experts declare is at play when underserving children of color in our city and abroad.

We proudly work with the State of Illinois’ Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) in an effort to provide low-income, working families with access to FREE quality child care. And as a result, we are able to  better serve low-income families and households seeking a more purposeful after school experience for their child/ren at little to no cost.

IMPORTANT: To qualify for CCAP, you must A. Work or attend school during your child’s after school care. This can include your school or work hours PLUS travel times and B. Your household income cannot exceed the financial threshold.

HOW TO APPLY: Please click the “Start An Application” link if you do NOT have an account with CCAP and you would like to apply for assistance. If you have an account with CCAP and you would like to CHANGE your current care provider and enroll in ASO, please click the Change Of Provider button below. Please contact us to confirm our CCAP provider details prior to submitting the change documentation. If you DO NOT require CCAP assistance and you would like to receive a copy of our daily rate and enrollment information, please contact us.
